Top 10 Caves in the Philippines for Tourists

If I have to choose between spelunking and caving, I would definitely choose spelunking or caving! Through the years of my spelunking experience, I have seen and experience various caves in the Philippines. Worthy of mention is the Sohoton cave of Bucas Grande Island.

And here are my top 10 caves in the Philippines that I have visited.

1. Puerto Princesa Underground River, Palawan (It is my number one since its both an underground river and a cave. In fact, it is second longest navigable underground river in world. It has 24 km. long cave, which contains an 8.2-kilometer-long underground river.)

2. Calbiga Cave, Western Samar (The largest cave system in the Philippines, reputed to be the second largest in Asia and the world's third largest karst formation, is 7 km. long with an area of 900 square km.)

3. Odloman Cave, Mabinay, Negros Oriental (At 8,870 meters, went on record as the second longest cave system in the Philippines.)
