Eden Nature Park, Davao City

I Love Eden!
From Zamboanga City, I boarded a plane to Davao City to continue my summer 2015 tour of Mindanao. I was given only one day and I had to proceed immediately to Cateel, Davao Oriental. It was my fourth time to visit Davao and the only tourist spot left for me to visit was Eden Nature Park.

How to get there

From Manila, Cebu, Zamboanga City or Clark International Airport
Board a plane to Davao City.

From my hotel in Davao City (The Morvie's Suites (P550/day only either in Claveria or San Pedro). I have 3 options, namely: habal-habal, taxi and using a jeepney.

I opted the jeepney and boarded a jeep going to Toril (26 kilometers from the city proper). Fare is P26.
I alighted at the alley going to Eden (landmark - Mercury Drug).

The habal-habal ride costs P120 (2 pax) and travel time was 45 minutes or 12 kilometers. Entrance fee at Eden Nature Park is P220.

The best way to enjoy the the park is to trek all the spots inside Eden and you will have one full day to enjoy all the spots and activities inside the park. But I had only three hours to spare and I had to maximize my limited time.

And the first thing I did was to play at the Indiana Jones playground.

I had only 3 hours to spare and I was not able to trek the Mountain Trail.

My companion that day wanted to pass at the Flower Garden and we did!

Just a couple of steps away was the Ampitheater.

We wanted to go to the hanging bridge but ended up at the Mangosteen Farm. Good thing we got lost and I was able to do a little bit of tree-hugging! Mangosteen is one of my favorite fruits. My first time to see the Mangosteen tree.

WE Enjoyed our stay at the farm, rested a bit and afterwards, headed back to the hotel to catch the bus going to Cateel.

The night before the Eden Adventure, I did a bit of walking city tour and one of the places I dropped by was the People's Park,

The following morning, after the Eden tour, I went to Cateel, Davao for my waterfalls chasing adventure!

Information about Davao City

Enjoy the eat-all-you-can either at Tita D's (P149), Green Buffet (P149), or from Vikings (P800).

Enjoy the unli rice at Barbeque Boss, Inasal or Penong's.

Have a city tour and visit the People's Park, Quezon park, Osmena Park, San Pedro Cathedral, Bone Collector, Davao Museum or the Baywalk.

Hang out at Matina Town Square (MTS), Damosa, Jack's Ridge.
